CXCL-12 SDF-1 (Stromal Cell Derived Factor-1)
Analyte:
Stromal Cell Derived Factor-1
Specimen Type:
PlatletPoor EDTA Plasma
Biological or Clinical Significance:
SDF-1 alpha or stromal derived factor 1 alpha (also known as CXCL12) has weak sequence homology with other CXC chemokines and with members of the CC (β) chemokines sub-family In contrast to other chemokines genes, which are on chromosomes 4 or 17, the SDF-1 gene is on chromosome 10. SDF-1 also has a higher degree…
Galectin-3
Analyte:
Galectin-3
Specimen Type:
Serum, Inquire for additional option(s)
Biological or Clinical Significance:
Galectin-3 is a structurally unique member of a family of beta-galactosidase-binding lectins. Expression of galectin-3 has been associated with the epithelium and inflammatory cells including macrophages, neutrophils and mast cells. Galectin-3 has been implicated in a variety of biological processes important in heart failure, including myofibroblast proliferation, fibrogenensis, tissue repair, cardiac remodeling and inflammation.
MCP-1 (Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1) - chemi
Analyte:
Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1
Specimen Type:
Serum
Biological or Clinical Significance:
Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1 (MCP-1), also known as CCL2, MCAF and TDCF, is encoded by the human JE gene. It belongs to the CC chemokine family. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated T cells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. Elevated levels of MCP-1 have also been found in connection with inflammation, Alzheimer’s…
NT-ProBNP (N-Terminal Pro B-Type Natriuretic Peptide)*
Analyte:
N-terminal ProB-type Natriuretic Peptide
Specimen Type:
Serum, Heparin Plasma, EDTA Plasma
Biological or Clinical Significance:
The clinical utility of CNH assays for B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and the N-terminal part of the propeptide of BNP (NT-proBNP) has been confirmed for screening of heart disease, stratification of patients with congestive heart failure, detection of left ventricular systolic and/or diastolic dysfunction, and differential diagnosis of dyspnea.
