Biological or Clinical Significance:

VCAM-1 ( Vascular Cell Adhension Protein 1), also known as CD106, binds to leukocyte integrins VLA-4 and Integrin alpha 4 beta 7. The primary function of VCAM-1 is the mediation of leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction. It is a member  of the immunoglobulin superfamily of adhesion molecules.

Principle of Test Method:

The VCAM-1 assay is a chemiluminescent immunoassay. Detection range 97.7 – 100000 MRD 1:1000
